Becky Lynch: I Think Charlotte Flair And I Are Always Going To Be Butting Heads

Both Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have had an interesting relationship, to say the least. They became the best of friends from their time together in NXT and were also two of the pillars of the Four Horsewomen of WWE. They then turned into bitter rivals. Last year, the duo seemed to have patched things up between them at the Survivor Series War Games Premium Live Event. The two even sat together during the post-show press conference.

During an interview with Daily Mail, The Man opened up about how things went from bad to good with The Queen. Becky Lynch also mentioned that it was good to break the ice with her friend.

“Wasn’t that nice?”Lynch said. “Look, I think Charlotte and I are always going to be butting heads, right? Because we both want to be the very best and with that, it’s hard to have an eternal symbiotic relationship.

“But, it was nice. Animosity, especially for a long time, begins to weigh on you and begins to get heavy and it’s nice to get a break from that.”

Becky Lynch on not getting a singles match against Ronda Rousey

During the same interview, Lynch also discussed the fact that she never got a one-on-one match against Ronda Rousey. While she never got the match, The Man is still happy that she got to pin the Rowdy One in the main event of WrestleMania.

The one time when she was supposed to wrestle Rousey, Lynch suffered a broken nose thanks to Jax and thus was replaced by Charlotte Flair.

“I suppose at the end of the day, I was still able to get the win the main event of WrestleMania, be the first ever woman to win the main event of WrestleMania. Do I think that was the match that everyone was clamoring for? Yes it was. Everyone wanted that singles match. And I think, people thought that moment in time would be evergreen and it wasn’t. That’s OK too.”

The Man also compared her potential match against Ronda Rousey to the match between Roman Reigns and The Rock.

“I think you can’t force things when they’re not there and I think we see that with what’s currently going on with the product. For years, everyone wanted The Rock vs Roman Reigns, but it’s not the time for it right now. Everyone wants Roman vs Cody (Rhodes). Some things have their seasons and we didn’t have that season. If she ever comes back again, maybe that season will be right there. Maybe it will be spring time on that story again, but it never got back to that.”
