Decay On Venue Used For TNA Promo: The Energy Was Undeniable, There Was No Other Place

Decay never shies away from delivering a variety of spooky promos in TNA Wrestling.

Former TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions Rosemary and Havok recently sat down with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. When asked about the spooky black and white promo they taped for Hard To Kill, Rosemary revealed how they found the location for the promo.

“We found the location, actually going on a little excursion,” Rosemary revealed. “Wandering around different buildings, different rooms, different parts of everywhere has different energy. We were looking for the right energy, the right place to deliver this incredibly important message that we needed to send out to the hivelings and also to the enemies of the shadow.

“And it was us, and we believe we were with Savannah [Evans]. Someone else was with us at the time, but we happened upon this location. It was almost like it called to us. We had walked right past it, and then something made us turn around. And it was there, this beautiful existentialist setting. We’ve always been such a fan of expressionism in filmmaking.

“Big fan of the way you can twist reality and make it look like it’s not real when it is real, and it’s right there. And to play with the senses and to make you feel off balance almost. We walked into that room, and we felt like we were maybe moving. That kind of energy was just undeniable. That was the place, that was the room. There was no other place to deliver.”

Decay wants to return to this location for TNA Rebellion

Havok went on to reveal that Rosemary found the location without her but knew it was perfect the first time she saw it.

“I wasn’t with you when you found it either, but when you approached me and said, ‘Oh, you have to see this,’ it was perfect. Just stepping into the room, it was like, this is exactly the setting we need to deliver this very important message,” Havok said. “And it was only one more little piece to the puzzle to make sure that every human watched, listened, and did not look away.”

Rosemary credited cinematographer Robert Peak for helping capture the energy they wanted to deliver in that promo.

“It was like walking through another realm,” Rosemary said. “Everyone else we showed — we do want to give credit to where credit is due. Robert Peak was the cinematographer for that and absolutely saw our vision as well. [He] walked in there and knew exactly how to capture that energy to deliver that message. We want to go back there. Oh, wait. We are going back there for [TNA] Rebellion.”
