Bull Nakano Confirmed For 2024 WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

Bull Nakano will be inducted into this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame class.

ESPN‘s Marc Raimondi first reported the news of Nakano’s Hall Of Fame nod. She joins Paul Heyman in the 2024 class.

“During my active years, I was able to get championship belts in Japan, America and Mexico,” Nakano told ESPN through an interpreter. “But just one thing was missing — I didn’t get inducted into the Hall of Fame. I wanted this. Finally, in 2024 in WrestleMania week, I am able to get this.”

Triple H later commented on the news, writing the following on Twitter:

“An unbelievable talent with an unforgettable look, and a mean streak a mile long,” Triple H wrote on Twitter. “Bull Nakano isn’t just one of the best Women’s wrestlers of all time – she’s one of the best of all time, period. #WWEHOF”

Bull Nakano is a former All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling champion, CMLL World Women’s Champion and WWF Women’s Champion. She worked for WWE between 1994-1995, where she feuded with Alundra Blayze over the women’s title. Nakano worked for WCW until late 1996, where she resumed her feud with Blayze (now going by Madusa).

Nakano announced her in-ring retirement in 1997. She has made sporadic in-ring appearances since then, and has since worked as a promoter and on-air personality. Most recently, she appeared at the all-female Japanese Sukeban promotions as the acting commissioner.

Nakano posted a new statement on Twitter about her Hall Of Fame induction, calling the achievement a “wish come true.”

“WWE Hall of Fame!! My wish has come true and I have decided to receive the award in 2024. I am honored to be the first Japanese female wrestler to do so. thank you,” Nakano wrote.
