Cyndi Lauper Appears Closer Than Ever to WWE Hall of Fame Induction

Cyndi Lauper is reportedly closer than ever to a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer Cyndi Lauper played a major role in WWE’s explosive rise during the 1980s. However, the promotion hasn’t inducted her into its Hall of Fame yet. This is despite fans campaigning for her induction for years. Lauper did state in the past that WWE got “weird” at the end of their relationship.

A Cyndi Lauper WWE action figure was recently announced and is set to make its debut at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. The announcement has naturally sparked speculation about the relationship between the two sides.

Cyndi Lauper’s WWE Hall of Fame induction could finally happen

Now, WrestleVotes Radio (via Fightful Select) has reported that the relationship has been strengthened. The outlet said it’s more likely than ever for her to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The report notes that the induction is unlikely to happen in 2027 and that the relationship is currently limited to licensing. However, more things are planned for the future.

The Cyndi Lauper action figure is part of Mattel’s new WWE Elite 3-Pack. It will feature the 72-year-old singer alongside wrestling legends Roddy Piper and Captain Lou Albano, paying tribute to the promotion’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection era of the 1980s, which featured a collaboration between the company and the music industry.

Cyndi Lauper’s relationship with WWE was also featured in the biographical sitcom Young Rock, with former Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch portraying the pop icon.
