AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 3/6, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on March 6.

According to Wrestlenomics, 779,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.27 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 822,000 viewers tuned in. The demo was also down from last week‘s episode, which also drew a 0.29 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Swerve Strickland promising that he would defeat Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. This brought out Joe, and the two went back and forth. The Undisputed Kingdom comes out, and it leads to a tag match where Swerve and Joe defeat The Kingdom.

Elsewhere on the show, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson fire Kenny Omega from The Elite and introduce Kazuchika Okada as the newest member of the group.

In women’s action, Riho defeated Kris Statlander after Statlander refused to cheat to win.

In the main event, Will Ospreay defeated Kyle Fletcher. Bryan Danielson came out following the match to stare down Ospreay in the closing moments of the show.
