Maxxine Dupri Claims All The Scrutiny She Receives Adds A Level Of Pressure

Recently, Maxxine Dupri was getting a lot of boos from fans during a live show. Top stars such as Rhea Ripley all spoke up in support of Dupri. Recently, Maxxine addressed the fans booing her and also the level of scrutiny she was under.

While speaking on the Lightweights Podcast, Maxxine Dupri opened up about being under scrutiny the most when compared to the other wrestlers. Dupri is grateful for the fans who have seen her grow on Live TV and she’s very thankful for them. She also highlighted the fact that she is still learning.

At the same time, Maxxine Dupri also mentioned that it has added a lot more pressure on her. But she’s still trying her very best and is aiming to ger better every time.

“I think for me it’s also an added level of pressure. But it’s also like, I want to make those people proud that aren’t getting that opportunity. I’m so grateful for every opportunity. I’m grateful to be thrown into the deep end. Obviously, it’s scary and obviously, it sucks when you get scrutiny for things where it’s like, I really am doing my very best. And I’m training as hard as I can and I’m trying to get better every time.

“But I’m not perfect. I am human. And this is my first time doing this stuff. So there is going to be times where I do things that people aren’t going to love or that I’m not gonna love when I watch back. And I’m like, ‘Yes, believe me. I’m watching it back too like, why did I do that?’ I don’t know. I’m trying to figure out. I get it,” Maxxine Dupri said.

Just keep swimming

Maxxine spoke about her “sink or swim” mentality during a recent interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. Maxxine said she’s always been in situations like that, but she is going to swim each time.

“Honestly, I think my whole life I’ve been thrown into ‘sink or swim’ situations. Maybe I just radiate that energy,” she explained. But I’m always tossed in the deep end and I’m going to swim. I will not allow myself to sink and I’m going to fight and fight and fight. I will go out clawing if I have to.

“I’m not going to allow myself to go out and completely fail. I think fail is a strong word because I am going to make mistakes, I’m learning. Everyone is going to make mistakes. And hello, we’re doing live TV, a whole live fight,” she noted, “so mistakes are going to happen. But I don’t consider that failure and I won’t let myself have a ‘failure’ moment because this is what I want to do. This is my dream and I’m going to go out there and swim.”
