The Undertaker Says He Recently Talked Himself Out Of Making A Comeback

One more match?

The Undertaker has been retired from WWE for four years now following his WrestleMania 36 battle against AJ Styles. Since then, The Deadman has shared that retirement has been hard on him, and it appears that he still battles the thought of making a comeback.

During a recent Patreon Q&A for his Six Feet Under podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer shared that when he came back from WWE Elimination Chamber weekend in Australia, he told his wife Michelle McCool that he wanted to return to the ring. (H/t Wrestling Observer for the transcription)

“It’s still tough for me. I’m still coming to grips with [retirement],” Undertaker said. “And I may or may not have said to my wife recently that I was going to make a comeback. Fortunately, I think I’ve talked myself out of that.”

When his co-host told him not to start up rumors, The Undertaker clarified that he is not going to return for another match at this moment.

“No, there’s not one more match,” Taker said. “It was just like — I just got back from Australia, I was tired, and I knew I had a lot of stuff coming up. And that was me just feeling comfortable saying it… Don’t expect it. There’s not one more match. Don’t even start.”

Michelle McCool recently appeared on Six Feet Under and showed interest in returning to WWE for a singles match against one of the modern stars. You can read her comments here.
