STARDOM Confirms Departure Of Five Wrestlers At The End Of March

STARDOM officially announced the departure of five wrestlers, all of whom will be finishing up with the company in the coming weeks.

According to STARDOM’s official website, the following women’s contracts will expire at the end of this March:

The report states that Giulia and Utami Hayashishita’s final appearance for the company will be on their Korakuen Hall show on April 12. The remaining talent listed above will wrap up with STARDOM on March 31. Despite their impending departure, STARDOM wished their fans to look forward to these women’s future endeavors upon their exit.

Giulia’s next move

Giulia was previously reported to help Rossy Ogawa set up his new promotion prior to exploring wrestling opportunities overseas. While the other four women have yet to officially disclose their plans post-STARDOM, the current expectation is for them to join Rossy Ogawa’s promotion as well. Mai Sakurai has also been very open about following her former Donna Del Mondo leader, Giulia, wherever she goes.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Utami Hayashishita revealed that she had already discussed leaving the company with STARDOM President Taro Okada in December last year. She says she was previously aware of rumors about Ogawa’s departure. Utami credited Ogawa for her growth as an in-ring competitor and thus decided to leave early on.

On the other hand, Yuzuki only made her wrestling debut a few months ago under STARDOM. It was said that Ogawa saw potential in her. She went on to win the Rookie of Stardom Tournament earlier this year.
