MLW War Chamber 2024 Results (3/29/24): Matt Riddle, War Chamber Match, More

Major League Wrestling delivered a star-studded show with MLW War Chamber on March 29.

Among other matches, Satoshi Kojima and Team MLW faced the World Titan Federation in a WarGames match. Plus, Matt Riddle defended the NJPW World Television Championship against Kosei Fujita. Elsewhere on the show, Alex Kane battled AJ Francis.

The results are as follows:

MLW War Chamber Results

The show starts with a video package.

MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship: Janai Kai (c) (with Salina de la Renta and Jesús Rodriguez) vs. Unagi Sayaka

Kai and Sayaka square off and feel each other out. They go back and forth. Sayaka gets a two-count on an early pin attempt. Kai rocks her with a kick. She drills the challenger with a barrage of kicks. Kai maintains the advantage with more kicks. She wrenches Sayaka on a modified chokehold. Sayaka rallies with a flurry of offense and slams Kai to the mat face-first. She locks in the Gory Special and dumps her to the mat again. Both competitors are down after Kai hits a kick out of nowhere.

They get to their feet and trade blows. Sayaka gets a two-count with a kick of her own. She gets a two-count with an arm-breaker. Kai fires back with a kick for the win.

Alex Kane (with Mr. Thomas) vs. A. J. Franci$ (with Saint Laurent)

Franci$ cuts a pre-match promo and runs down the crowd. Kane comes to the ring and takes the fight to Franci$. He keeps up the attack and hits a splash on Franci$ on the apron. Kane continues to control the action. Franci$ overpowers him with a suplex and gains the upper hand. A. J. Franci$ wrenches Kane’s arm against the ring post. Kane dodges A. J. Franci$, sending him into the ring post. A. J. Franci$ powerbombs Kane onto the apron. He maintains the advantage and grounds Kane.

Kane rallies and drops Franci$ with a spear. Kane suplexes Franci$. Saint Laurent interferes, Franci$ hits Kane below the belt and chokeslams him for the win.

Winner: A.J. Franci$

Members of Bomaye Fight Club enter the ring and salute Franci$.

A video package hypes up the Azteca Lucha event, which will feature CMLL wrestlers.

AKIRA confronts Sami Callihan, and he is attacked by The Calling. They wrap barbed wire around his face.

Devin Diaz makes his way to the ring. He gets attacked by Brian Brock. He says he’s not leaving until he gets an opponent. Mads Krule Krügger comes to the ring, and the bell rings.

Brock takes the fight to Krügger. A CONTRA goon hits Brock with a flag pole. Krügger scolds the goon. Brock hits Krügger with the flag pole, but it doesn’t seem to affect him much. Krügger wraps a chair around Brock’s neck and kicks him. CONTRA goons set up a door in the corner of the ring. Krügger goes for a shoulder tackle, but Brock evades him, so the big man crashes into the door. Brock drops Krügger with a lariat and hits him with chunks of a door. Krügger no-sells it and chokeslams Brock. Krügger slams Brock for the win.

Winner: Mads Krule Krügger

CONTRA goons carry Brock to the back.

Bad Dude Tito (with Salina de la Renta) vs. Richard Adonis

Tito immediately takes the fight to Adonis and dumps him with a throw. He spikes Adonis with the Tequila Screwdriver for the dominant win.

Winner: Bad Dude Tito

Tito gets a microphone and says he came to MLW for gold. He says he doesn’t care if it’s Kojima or Rickey Shane Page. Tito says he will have gold around his waist next time the fans see him.

NJPW World Television Championship: Matt Riddle (c) vs. Kosei Fujita

Riddle and Fujita feel each other out and trade blows. They are evenly matched early on. Riddle takes control with a series of strikes and suplexes Fujita. Fujita fires up with a hurricanrana and sends Riddle to the outside. Fujita keeps rolling with a senton over the ropes.

He goes for a guillotine, and Riddle tries to escape, but Fujita locks it in. Riddle suplexes his way out of it and gets a two-count with a German suplex. Fuijta dumps Riddle with a slam off the ropes.

Riddle drills Fuijta with a knee and hits the Bro-stone for the win.

Riddle is interviewed after the match. He gives Fujita some credit for a tough match. Riddle looks back on challenging for the world title years ago. He vows to win the MLW World Heavyweight Championship and become the king of MLW.

Cesar Duran sends a message to Salina de la Renta and sets up a challenge for MLW Azteca Lucha; he says the promoter who wins more matches will get a mysterious key.

In a promo, Mads Krule Krügger says he has been waiting for two years, and all in MLW will burn.

The broadcast replays Mistico’s successful MLW World Middleweight Championship defense against Angle de Oro at the CMLL event on March 17.

War Chamber Match: Team MLW (CozyMax (Satoshi Kojima and Shigeo Okumura) and The Second Gear Crew (Matthew Justice and 1 Called Manders)) vs. World Titan Federation (Tom Lawlor, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Richard Holliday, and Josh Bishop) (with Mister Saint Laurent)

Josh Bishop enters the match first for WTF, while Matthew Justice comes out first, and he is accompanied by Bill Alfonso. Justice and Bishop brawl at ringside. They get in the cage, and Justice keeps up the attack. He throws a chair at Bishop. Bishop hits Justice with a chair and gains the upper hand. Justice rallies, and Tom Lawlor enters the match. He brawls with Justice. Lawlor and Bishop gang up on Justice. 1 Called Manders enters the match and takes the fight to Lawlor.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. enters the bout, and Justice and Manders double-team him. Smith Jr. fires up by clotheslining both of them. WTF takes control as Lawlor uses an old-school war helmet as a weapon. They isolate Manders. Okumura enters the match, but WTF continues to control the action. Justice rallies by dishing out punishment with a door. Richard Holliday enters the match and squares off with Team MLW. He drops Okumura with an elbow strike. WTF maintains the advantage. Okumura fires up, and Satoshi Kojima enters the match as the final entrant.

Kojima clears house, and Team MLW rallies. The two teams brawl. Justice jumps off the cage with a crossbody onto everyone.

The teams regroup and square off. They trade blows. Justice and Bishop go crashing through a door. Smith slams Manders through another door. Team WTF gains the upper hand again. Holliday drops Kojima with a cutter. Smith Jr. powerbombs Kojima. Bishop accidentally slams Smith Jr. through a door. Second Gear Crew rallies. Kojima srills Holliday with a knock-out blow for the win.

Winners: Team MLW (CozyMax (Satoshi Kojima and Shigeo Okumura) and The Second Gear Crew (Matthew Justice and 1 Called Manders))

Team MLW celebrates. Mads Krule Krügger and CONTRA soldiers come down. They cut open the cage and brawl with Team MLW. Manders gets blasted with fire. Ikuro Kwon is one of the CONTRA soldiers, and they continue to beat down Team MLW. Krügger drops Kojima as the attack continues. CONTRA drapes a flag over the fallen members of Team MLW. CONTRA stands tall and drapes their flag over the cage as the show comes to an end.
