The Miz and R-Truth celebrate their win at WrestleMania 40.
At WrestleMania 40 Night One, The Miz won the RAW Tag Team Championship in a Six-Pack Ladder Match. This marked Truth’s first-ever WrestleMania win. Truth, 52, is one of the longest-tenured members of the WWE roster, so his victory was particularly noteworthy.
In a WWE Digital Exclusive, The Miz and R-Truth commented on their win. The Miz noted that they made moments.
“It’s the biggest WrestleMania, and we’re all about moments, and that’s what we do,” The Miz said. “We create moments. Truth has been having a hard time with Judgment Day. We said we were going to take what they value most, and that is their tag team titles. What did we do? Took their tag team titles.
When asked to describe how he felt, R-Truth quipped, “You want the truth? Awesome. You see what I did there?”
The Miz Gives R-Truth His Flowers
The Miz went on to praise R-Truth by saying his WrestleMania moment was well-deserved, and it was a long time coming.
“That is a moment well-deserved, and it’s been due for a very long time,” The Miz said. “There is no one that puts in the work, no one that entertains us more, no one that puts forth so many moves and efforts in everything that he does for WWE, whether it’s rapping, whether it’s in the ring fighting, whether it’s winning titles.
“It doesn’t matter. Truth puts the work in, and he deserves his moment, and he got it today WrestleMania 40, the biggest WrestleMania of all WrestleManias. So congratulations.”
