WWE NIL Signee Haley Cavinder Re-Joining Her Sister In College Basketball Return

It looks like Haley Cavinder won’t be seen in the WWE this year.

The Cavinder twins signed with WWE in 2021 as part of the company’s new “Next In Line” (NIL) program. This initiative allowed college athletes to monetize their name and likeness, while also providing a pipeline for future WWE Superstars. Gable Steveson was part of this class, while and Hanna and Haley Cavinder were viewed as the successors to the Bella Twins.

Sadly, this doesn’t look like it’s going to happen any time soon. Hanna recently announced her return to basketball, delaying her chances of becoming a WWE Superstar. This inspired Haley Cavinder to change tact, and she soon announced her return alongside her twin sister.

Haley Cavinder posted on Twitter, announcing that they are back! The Cavinder Twins are set to return to play basketball at the University of Miami. This is the fifth year they have played together, and it will be the final year they do so.

Haley Cavinder wrote on posted an image of Twitter that said:

“Given the news yesterday that my sister was returning to play ball at Miami and after careful considering and thought, I’ve decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for our final and 5th year. There is nothing more important than family and the bond I share with my Twin sister. Being presented with the opportunity to play together one more time is something I cannot pass up. I am excited for this upcoming season and can’t wait to play at the U.”

Hanna And Haley Cavinder Are Still In Talks With The WWE

Even though Haley Cavinder is joining her sister in returning to basketball, it does not mean their WWE career has ended before it begins.

Speaking with Colin Salao of TheStreet, The Cavinder Twins’ agent, Jeff Hoffman, revealed that the pair were still talking with WWE, having recently visited the WWE Performance Center.

“We’re still in deep and heavy conversations with WWE,” Hoffman said. “We were out the training facility a few months ago. We were discussing upcoming trainings.”
