A new report provides an update on Giulia’s upcoming move to WWE.
As previously reported, former STARDOM star Giulia has agreed to join WWE. She was set to make the move after she wrapped up her dates. However, she suffered a fractured wrist at the Marigold debut show on May 21. Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) previously reported that the belief was that she would make her in-ring debut at NXT Heatwave on July 7.
In an update, Brennan reports that, per WWE and NXT sources, the company is hopeful that Giulia will heal in time for NXT Heatwave. Brennan writes that WWE is still planning on having her compete in a title match with NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, but this is not set in stone.
The report also notes that Giulia will continue to remain available to work for Marigold following her move to NXT. Giulia has said that she still plans to compete as scheduled at the Marigold event on July 13.
Brennan cited sources in Japan who said that this should not impact her ability to appear in WWE beforehand. Furthermore, Giulia is set to lead the next class of WWE Performance Center recruits.
