Chris Jericho says he could probably work for WWE in the future, but he’s happy in AEW, and there’s no reason for him to go anywhere.
Jericho has had multiple successful stints in WWE, and he won the world title multiple times. He has been with AEW since 2019, and he remains a featured member of the roster.
Speaking with Chris Killian for ComicBook Nation, Chris Jericho was asked whether he would be open to returning to WWE now that Vince McMahon had left the company.
“I mean, I enjoyed working there in the past, and I could probably work there in the future as well,” Chris Jericho said. “So we’ll see. To me, business is business. But I enjoy working with AEW, I enjoy all that we’ve accomplished since day one, especially now with the new TV deal. We did what we set out to do, which was to change the course of wrestling history, and Tony [Khan] and I and all of us have done that, so it’s a pretty cool kind of a f*ck you to everybody that didn’t think we could do it.”
Chris Jericho: There’s No Reason For Me To Leave
Jericho continued by saying that there was no reason for him to go anywhere. He then stated that he enjoyed working for AEW.
“Now seeing this television deal, with the amount of money that we got for it, it’s like, we’re on our way, man,” Jericho said. “We’re not going anywhere. So there’s really no reason for me to go anywhere else right now. I enjoy working for the Khan family, and I enjoy working for AEW, so I’m happy.”
