Ric Flair Reacts To North Carolina Introducing ‘Ric Flair Act’ For New Wrestling Hall Of Fame

Ric Flair is unsurprisingly thrilled with the “Ric Flair Act” being introduced to create a wrestling Hall of Fame.

Earlier this week, it was reported that North Carolina is looking into creating a potential Wrestling Hall of Fame. A new act named after Ric Flair has been introduced. It would earmark $500,000 to study the feasibility of creating a professional wrestling Hall of Fame museum in North Carolina.

The full name of the act is “An Act to Remember Iconic Combatants through Fostering Learning Awareness and Interest In Rassling”. This, in a very roundabout way, creates the acronym “RIC FLAIR” as the name of the act.

Understandably, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is thrilled by this. The North Carolina native took to Twitter to respond to WrestleZone’s reporting of the act, announcing that he was “honored and humbled” by it. The 16-time world champion is excited to see a new Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame museum being created.

“I Am Honored & Humbled That The North Carolina Senate Has Introduced The Ric Flair Act For The Creation Of A Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame Museum! WOOOOO!”

Ric Flair Seemingly Confirms He’s Still With AEW

Following AEW Revolution last year, it was reported that Ric Flair and AEW have parted ways. However, the 16-time World Champion has seemingly confirmed that not to be the case.

Vince Russo claimed that Ric Flair was trying to angle his way into being involved in the main event of WrestleMania. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer took offence to this remark and Tweeted at the former WCW Champion.

Ric Flair said that the pair agreed Russo would not use his name to spark interest in his podcast online. However, the interesting part was Flair admitting he works for Tony Khan. He said he allows him to be in attendance for WWE events while signed to AEW.

This seemingly confirmed that he is still employed by AEW a year after making his last appearance.

“Please @THEVinceRusso , I Thought We Agreed That You Wouldn’t Use My Name To Get A Rating! I Work For My GREAT Friend And Employer @TonyKhan , Who Allows Me To Do Things With My Daughter And Understands The Importance Of Me Being In Attendance At Events Like The Hall Of Fame!”
