Chelsea Green stands her ground.
March 31, 2025 marked the International Transgender Day of Visibility, which celebrates transgender people and the contributions they have made to society. WWE stars Chelsea Green and Michin, known allies of the LGBTQ+ community, showed their support for this event, with the latter posting a graphic with the transgender pride flag colors on X (formerly Twitter).
In response, Chelsea Green wrote “hate u. love this,” the former part a reference to her storyline feud with Michin on WWE television. The latter part of this caught the attention of former WWE Tag Team Champion Val Venis, who claimed that Green and other supporters “need our prayers” as he considered the transgender movement to be “harmful to society.” Venis also advised “those experiencing distress related to their gender identity” to “pray, seek treatment, and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.”

Fortunately, neither your opinions nor your attempts to undermine my support will change anything. I’ll be praying for YOU because it looks like you’ve got a little too much time on your hands and hate in your heart.”

Chelsea Green is the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion. (Despite being the only champion, she will also take proper credit for being the longest-reigning champion, too.) She beat her recent foe, Michin, at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in December and recently eclipsed 100 days as champion.
