Swerve Strickland and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently clashed over how being Black affected their time in WWE. The tension rose after Strickland’s interview on Vlad TV, which Booker criticized. This sparked a feud with DJ Vlad, who then escalated things by bringing up Booker’s past ties to Chasyn Rance, a convicted sex offender.
Booker T had expressed disappointment in Swerve Strickland, saying he had always supported him and even called him a future AEW World Champion. But after losing to Jon Moxley in his AEW World Title match, Strickland fired back. Speaking to the fans after the show, Strickland ended with a blunt message: “F**k Booker T.”
“When I talk about representation, I mean that every single f**king I have to speak on it. One year this kid right here, that you’ve supported for the last twelve, thirteen years one year, five main event pay-per-views, for Swerve Strickland. I don’t just speak about representation. I go out there and prove the f**king thing. And I only made it this far because of you people right here chanting, “Whose house?”
