Randy Orton: Part Of Me Misses The Old Boss, But WWE Has Changed For The Better

Randy Orton has been part of WWE for a long time and has been able to experience the locker room under different regimes.

WWE Superstar Randy Orton recently sat down with Raj Prashad of COMPLEX. While discussing today’s backstage environment, Orton says that while there’s part of him that misses the old boss (Vince McMahon), he believes many things within the company have changed for the better.

“There’s a part of me that misses the old boss,” Randy Orton admitted. “But so many things have changed for the better. It’s just a new school way of thinking, and everybody in that locker room is happy. So not only am I physically okay to continue to do what I love, but the environment in that locker room is so much more healthy, so much more sustainable.

“Most everybody’s in a positive mindset. The mood backstage is killer. Everyone wants to be in a WWE locker room that’s in the professional wrestling business. So right now, I have a completely different mindset.”

While Orton is currently in the midst of a five-year contract with WWE, The Viper believes he’s feeling good enough to sign one more final five-year deal before he calls it a career.

“I’d love to sign another five-year contract after that,” Randy Orton said. “I know, realistically, there’s gonna be a day when I gotta stop. But it’s like, I don’t even think about that because I’m having so much f*cking fun right now.”
