We are five days away from the Showcase of Immortals, WrestleMania 41. On the grand stage, almost every single championship is scheduled to be defended. Unfortunately, one major title that will be missing from the card is the Women’s United States Championship.
The Women’s Intercontinental title will also not be defended at WrestleMania. However, Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria will be teaming up with Bayley to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. But the Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green, on the other hand, has not been booked for WrestleMania 41 as of yet.
Recently, Fightful reported (via Fightful Select) that they had asked their sources about Green’s involvement on the show. So far, she has not been booked on the show. There was reportedly an idea to make Green the host of WrestleMania 41, but that is no longer the case.
“Fightful inquired with WWE sources regarding creative plans for the title or Green for Mania, and were told that as of late last week, she was not scheduled for the show. We’re told there had been a couple of pitches for her to host the show, but as of this past weekend, there was nothing there. When we asked sources near creative, we were told that once the show is formatted out, it’s possible that a skit or segment to be added. However, as of each of the last two times we’d asked, that wasn’t the case,” Fightful reported.
