Dave Bautista Becomes Honorary Deputy Sheriff

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dave Bautista has now become an honorary Sheriff.

The popular professional wrestler turned movie star recently took to Facebook to reveal that he has been named an Honorary Deputy Sheriff of Hillsborough County in the state of Florida. The Animal thanked his friend, WWE’s Global Ambassador Titus O’Neil, and the Sheriff of Hillsboro, Florida.

“April 19 2025 Honorary Deputy Sheriff of Hillsborough County, Florida… I didn’t see that one coming either. ?‍♂️? Big love and thanks to my brother @titusoneilwwe and Sheriff @chadchronister for the honor and for everything you do for this community. Appreciate you both. Tampa’s held a special place in my heart ever since I moved here 20 years ago. Always has. Always will. #Tampa#HillsboroughCounty#Grateful#HonoraryDeputy,” Dave Bautista wrote.

Michelle McCool credits Dave Bautista for the iconic Split Women’s Championship

One of the most unique championship reigns was the Co-Championship reign as the Co-WWE Women’s Champions, Michelle McCool and Layla. The duo had a unique title design, which was a split championship. While speaking to Chris Van Vliet recently, Michelle McCool shared that it was The Animal who pitched the idea of having a split championship like a ‘Best Friends’ necklace.

“That was, I want to say that was Batista’s idea. We were backstage, and he’s like, Well, what If y’all cut it in half like the best friend necklaces? Our minds went there, and we’re like, that’d be great,” Michelle McCool explained. “And I don’t think anybody else thought it was a great idea. Like, come on, guys, that was fun. Yeah, that was fun.”
