John Cena made history by capturing his 17th WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41. The previous record holder, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, reacted to this monumental achievement.
Thanks to some help from multi-platinum recording artist, Travis Scott, John Cena defeated the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes to become the WWE Undisputed Champion for a record 17th time. Following his success, the former record holder, The Nature Boy Ric Flair, took to Twitter to congratulate Cena. Flair also praised Cena and Cody Rhodes, claiming that their match was an instant classic.
“Congrats To My Great Friend @JohnCena On Becoming A 17x Champion! It Was Only A Matter Of Time! You And @CodyRhodes Put On An Instant Classic! Much Respect! WOOOOO! #WrestleMania,” Ric Flair tweeted.
John Cena has vowed to be the last real champion in WWE. Last night on Raw, Cena revealed that he only has 27 more appearances left and after that he is gone forever. He promised to take the WWE Undisputed Championship along with him.
As he was done talking, Randy Orton creeped up behind Cena and hit him with an RKO. It looks like John Cena and Orton will rekindle their rivalry at WWE Backlash on May 10th in St. Louis.
