WWE Superstar John Cena gave a funny response when a kid asked him about his favorite food.
From 2012 to 2018, Cena dated former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella. Recently, an old clip from 2016 resurfaced and went viral. During a Q&A session with Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, and Bryan Danielson, a young fan asked Cena what his favorite food was.
Known for keeping things PG, John Cena surprised everyone with a playful answer. He joked, “Well, if I were to have Nicole stand up this time, I could show you. Don’t worry, you’re gonna get that in a few years. I’m kidding, totally kidding.”
The joke referenced his relationship with Nikki Bella and sparked a big laugh from the crowd. Brie Bella joined in, saying that Bryan Danielson probably would’ve given a similar answer. Nikki then turned to the child and clarified, “He loves to eat steak and vegetables.” Cena responded with a laugh, “Thank you, that’s the right answer. Oh man, I’m an idiot.”

Nikki Bella and John Cena were in a relationship for six years before they broke up in 2018. Cena married Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020. Nikki married Dancing With The Stars performer Artem Chigvintsev in 2022, but she filed for divorce last year after a domestic incident at home earlier that year.
Last month, Nikki and Brie Bella were recent guests on Kristin Cavallari’s Let’s Be Honest live podcast tour in New York City, and Nikki shared how the reunion with Cena went. Nikki said this was the first time in seven or eight years that she’d seen Cena. She added that it was a very quick backstage reunion.
“I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone’s hand. He shook my hand,” Nikki Bella said. “But the thing was, when he walked away, all the girls were like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ I’m like, ‘Shh, shh, He’s married, be respectful.’ And that was it.”
“That was nice. And it was great because breaking the ice and you know, we just both happened to be back at the same time. It’s a good feeling,” she added. Cavallari teased Nikki and said everyone to get back together, but Nikki simply said “next question” to move on.
