A new update has surfaced regarding Adam Cole‘s recovery as the AEW star remains absent from television following a serious concussion-related setback.
While questions continue to surround his future, recent comments from close friends have provided some encouraging news.
Cole has been out of action since suffering a major concussion ahead of a planned TNT Championship match against former champion Kyle Fletcher.
Since then, speculation about his in-ring future has continued to mount, with reports and rumors fueling uncertainty about what comes next for the former champion.
Young Bucks share positive Adam Cole recovery update
Speaking during a recent livestream on the Being The Elite YouTube channel, Matt and Nick Jackson offered an update on Cole’s condition and recovery process.
Matt Jackson explained, “It’s step by step for him. He’s just trying to take it day by day, but he’s having improvements which is good. So, keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”
He continued with high praise for his longtime friend, adding, “He’s the gosh the best person I think I’ve ever met in the wrestling business without exaggeration. Number one, he’s the best.”
The comments provide one of the clearest updates fans have received in recent months. While the recovery process remains gradual, the mention of ongoing improvement offers a positive sign for Cole as he continues dealing with post-concussion syndrome.
However, uncertainty remains regarding whether Cole will eventually return to the ring.
Earlier this year, reports suggested there were no active plans for him to wrestle, and retirement speculation intensified after rumors claimed he had considered announcing his retirement rather than simply vacating the TNT Championship.
AEW President Tony Khan also recently addressed Cole’s future during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show.
“I think it would have to be the right situation for Adam to wrestle again,” Khan said. He added that there would “always” be a role for Cole in AEW, whether as a commentator, host, or in another capacity.
