The announcement of Tetsuya Naito‘s impending departure from New Japan Pro-Wrestling surprised many people, including Kenny Omega.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Kenny Omega recently went live on his Twitch channel. When the subject of the recent announcement that Tetsuya Naito would soon be departing New Japan was brought up, Omega called the entire situation very odd.
“Very odd,” Kenny Omega began. “Odd as in, I didn’t hear anything about it, it just kind of came out of nowhere. Not that Naito and I keep in touch or anything like that or let us know or how things or going, but sometimes you hear a bit of a rambling or murmurs or whispers.” [H/T: Fightful]
Tetsuya Naito will wrap his run with New Japan Pro-Wrestling on May 4 at Wrestling DONTAKU 2025. Naito is scheduled to compete in an eight-man tag match.
