Samoa Joe Doesn’t Think Jon Moxley Has A Clear Vision Of What His Future Looks Like

Samoa Joe doesn’t think Jon Moxley has seen a clearer vision of what his future looks like.

Speaking to The Takedown for Sports Illustrated ahead of his world title steel cage match on AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, Joe agreed with the sentiment that Jon Moxley is incomparable when it comes to getting “their a** beat.”

“I don’t think Jon has seen a clearer vision of what his future looks like,” said Samoa Joe. “Nobody has gotten their ass beat better than Jon Moxley? Well, Jon, guess what? Ain’t nobody been better at beating your ass than me this coming Wednesday. I mean, it’s like it’s destiny.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Joe put over Chicago for being a “great town to host” his scheduled steel cage outing against the Death Rider.

“The steel cage is a [much] vaunted venue for destruction,” he noted. “I think Chicago’s a great town to host it. And I think, if history is any indicator, it often repeats itself and more brutally every time it happens.”

Samoa Joe and Jon Moxley have collided in the past

Samoa Joe and Jon Moxley are no strangers to each other, having previously met in a WWE ring on three different occasions. Their first and only singles televised match to date aired on RAW back in 2017. Joe wrestled Dean Ambrose, a tamed version of Jon Moxley, that night in Cleveland.

Mox’s propensity to bleed, coupled with Joe’s own appetite for violence, can give AEW fans a match of the year contender on Dynamite: Beach Break. Which of these two men will talk out as champion? I remains to be seen.

WrestleZone will have full coverage of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break as it airs. Read out full preview of the show here.
