Daisuke Sekimoto Taken to Hospital After Collapsing in Ring

Daisuke Sekimoto hospitalized after collapsing during Big Japan Pro Wrestling match.

The Big Japan Pro Wrestling show took place on May 29th in Tokyo, Japan, at Korakuen Hall. The event featured Daisuke Sekimoto teaming with Ryuji Ito and Abdullah Kobayashi against Yuuki Miyamoto, Ryota Hama, and Andy Wu.

According to Tokyo Sports, Daisuke Sekimoto suffered a swinging DDT that caused him to fall to the mat. The referee immediately stopped the match, and Sekimoto was stretchered out of the ring as the rope were removed.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling president Tosaka confirmed Sekimoto’s condition, stating, “Sekimoto was rushed to the hospital. His limbs are moving and his consciousness is clear. This is what we know now. Thank you.”

Big Japan provided an update that Daisuke Sekimoto is experiencing numbness in his arms and neck, doctors believe this to be temporary. Scans revealed no abnormalities, and Big Japan confirmed there is no suspicion of spinal cord injury. They also assured fans that Sekimoto will return home today but will visit the hospital to discuss treatment options for his symptoms.
