Vince McMahon Recently Attempted To Buy Combat Sports Promotion

Where is Vince McMahon headed next? Reportedly not to BKFC.

McMahon is largely out of the WWE bubble. However, McMahon seems intent on staying in the world of sports entertainment. According to Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, the former WWE CEO recently made an attempt to buy a controlling interest in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

BKFC’s founder and president, David Feldman, provided a statement to the outlet. This confirmed that a meeting between the two parties had happened. Feldman, however, was reportedly unwilling to give up full control of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

“He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us,” said Feldman. “He’s Vince McMahon–if I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and he was very serious to do business.”

BKFC launched in 2018, with David Feldman as its founder and President. Last year, MMA fighter Conor McGregor and his company, McGregor Sports and Entertainment, were announced as part owners of BKFC.

Last October, reports indicated that Vince McMahon prepared to start his own “entertainment hub company” that would financially back, develop, and produce productions in movies and television. WrestleNomics later reported that McMahon registered three limited liability companies that fit the description of the aforementioned plan. More specifically, the filings are related to McMahon’s new business venture, an investment firm, called 14TH & I, that focuses on sports, media, and entertainment opportunities.

Brad Blum, a longtime ally of McMahon and a former WWE executive, is listed as the President of 14TH & I, according to his LinkedIn profile.
