Leon Slater Sets New Record With TNA X Division Title Win At Slammiversary

Leon Slater made history with his big win at TNA Slammiversary.

The TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, and featured ten incredible matches. However, the highlight was Leon Slater vs. Moose for the TNA X-Division Championship.

Leon Slater and Moose had an intense back-and-forth match. In the final moments, Slater hit a Jeff Hardy-style Swanton Bomb from across the ring. Slater then hit with a Senton 450 on Moose for the win.

This win marked a huge milestone as Leon Slater became the youngest TNA X-Division Champion. The Amazing Red previously held the record, having won the X-Division Championship at 21 years and 4 days old. Slater broke that record at just 20 years old.

The historic moment became even more special as Leon Slater celebrated with his mom, sister, and girlfriend in the stands. TNA President Carlos Silva came to present the title to Slater, but former champion Moose grabbed the title, placed it around Slater’s waist, and shared a few respectful moments with the new champion.

Leon Slater’s win became even more special when AJ Styles came to the ring to celebrate with him. Styles praised Slater in front of the crowd and showed his support. The Former TNA World Champion encouraged Slater to build a strong legacy as the new TNA X Division Champion.
