Goldberg Criticizes Detail Of WWE Raw Segment During Retirement Run

Goldberg shares behind-the-scenes details of his WWE RAW retirement run.

On the July 7, 2025, episode of WWE RAW, Goldberg confronted World Heavyweight Champion Gunther during his retirement run. He made a dramatic entrance by driving a classic Chevrolet Chevelle to the arena after Gunther called him out.

During an appearance on the CarCast podcast, Goldberg talked about the segment as part of a larger conversation about his complaints about the retirement run. Goldberg’s co-host mentioned he could tell the car was “local” because it wasn’t a Dodge. The Hall of Famer explained that the production team didn’t realize he preferred Dodge cars. This is something he feels that they should have picked up on.

“I called, I texted [my friend] and I’m like, ‘I’m sorry man, I’m driving a muscle car on the show tonight. But they only had a short period of time.’ They couldn’t — and didn’t know for some reason that I’m a Dodge guy. I mean, how could they not freakin’ know that, first and foremost. And secondly, I get it [not having the right car available]. [But] I mean, all they had to was rent a Challenger. It’s all they had to do, or rent a Charger, you know, from the airport or whatever.”

“But it was cool. They threw a little twist on it and I had to make due with what I had in front of me. And I didn’t want to blow the guy’s car up. We had a couple of runs at it beforehand. It wasn’t what I wanted, but it was good enough for TV.” He also shared that he wanted “a lot more slide” with the car but said it was a “dog” compared to what he usually drives.

“It was different, but I thought it was cool.”
