Former WWE NXT Star Signs With TNA Wrestling

The former Jakara Jackson is TNA’s newest Knockout.

Former WWE NXT star Jakara Jackson debuted on TNA’s live episode of Impact on Thursday night. Jackson is now being billed under the name Mara Sadè. She made her TNA in-ring debut after being revealed as the surprise partner of The IInspiration for a six-woman tag team match against The Elegance Brand.

TNA welcomed Sadè to the promotion and confirmed she has signed a contract. The promotion did not disclose the terms of Sadè’s contract in the announcement, seen below:

“TNA Wrestling confirmed the signing of its newest Knockout: the multi-talented Mara Sadè, as announced on tonight’s live episode of the company’s flagship weekly TV show, iMPACT!, airing on AXS TV. Sadè, from Duke City, New Mexico, has been wrestling professionally for four years – and also brings experience in track & field, basketball, volleyball and even bowling.

“I am highly goal-oriented and will run over anyone to achieve my goals, and that is: GOAL’D,” Sadè said.

Sadè’s favorite former pro wrestlers are Jacqueline Moore and Jazz. She is highly artistic and enjoys painting. “Anything I touch turns to GOAL’D,” she said. Sadè brings tag team experience to TNA, but is now blazing the singles path, “and I will accomplish anything and everything I want in TNA … because I check all the boxes,” she said.

Mara Sadè says TNA was on her radar

Mara Sadè spent the past four years with WWE as Jakara Jackson, but the company released her on May 2. During an interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, she spoke about her interest in joining TNA, a promotion that she has wrestled for in the past.

“Most certainly [I’m interested in going back to TNA]. I don’t want to put too much out there. But they’re most certainly a lot of things in the works,” she explained. “I don’t want to reveal until it’s time to, but I definitely have my eyes on TNA. I would love to go to Japan. Definitely wherever I can thrive, that’s where I want to be.”
