Ever since capturing the TNA World Heavyweight title at NXT Battleground, Trick Williams has been on a roll. He has had four successful defenses since then. Now, his next defense has been confirmed. It will take place on August 15th at the TNA Emergence pay-per-view.
The challenger for Trick Williams was confirmed at last night’s episode of TNA iMPACT! The main event of the night was initially planned to be a tag team match between Fir$t Cla$$’s AJ Francis and KC Navarro and The System’s Moose and Eddie Edwards. But earlier in the night, TNA announced that Navarro was not medically cleared to compete. He was replaced by the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Trick Williams.
KC Navarro was still at ringside supporting Francis and Williams. At one point in the match, Navarro tried to help Trick Williams by hitting Moose with his crutch, but Moose ducked and the TNA World Heavyweight Champion got hit with the crutch. Moose capitalized and hit a Spear to pin the champion.
Seeing how the match came to an end, TNA took to Twitter to announce that the former X-Division Champion Moose will be the one challenging Williams at TNA Emergence.
