WWE SmackDown Viewership & Demo Revealed For 8/1 Episode

WWE SmackDown saw a decrease in viewership on August 1.

According to Wrestlenomics, SmackDown averaged 1.544 million viewers on Friday. The show drew a 0.46 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when an average of 1.707 million viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week’s show (0.48 rating in the same demographic).

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a face-to-face between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, which seemingly led to a Cena faceturn heading into SummerSlam that weekend.

Talla Tonga defeated Jimmy Uso in his SmackDown in-ring debut.

Elsewhere on the show, Damian Priest defeated Aleister Black via disqualification when Black used a steel chair on Priest.

In the closing segment of the evening, we got a brawl between Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, Randy Orton, and Jelly Roll.
