Roxanne Perez believes she will one day main event WWE WrestleMania.
Speaking on Insights with Chris Van Vliet, Perez was asked if she truly believes she will one day main event WrestleMania. She responded with confidence, saying she strongly believes it will happen. Perez explained that her love for storytelling sets her apart.
“I believe so, I really believe so, I have a really strong love for the storytelling aspect of everything. I feel like I can get in the ring and I can wrestle, but I can also tell a really good story, and I feel like that helps me a lot, because I’m small and I don’t look like everybody else all the time, but I can go in there and I can make you feel something.” [H/T: Fightful]
The Prodigy officially moved to the WWE main roster earlier this year. Within a few months, she joined the top faction Judgment Day. After Liv Morgan suffered a shoulder injury, Perez stepped in as Raquel Rodriguez’s tag team partner. They defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Evolution 2, but lost the belts at SummerSlam earlier this month to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
At only 23 years old, Perez is already making waves on the main roster after a successful run in WWE NXT. Now, Perez has her sights set on main-eventing WrestleMania. So far, only five women have ever headlined WrestleMania: Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks. Will Perez be the next? Only time will tell.
