Report: WWE Interested In Signing Former AEW/ROH Tag Team

WWE is reportedly looking to sign a former AEW/Ring of Honor tag team.

According to Fightful (via Fightful Select), the company has shown interest in The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) following their exit from AEW/ROH. Sources tell Fightful Select that The Righteous may be finishing up their indie dates and there has been a lot of interest shown by WWE since their AEW/ROH release. According to discussions within WWE, the company is interested in signing them and many believe it’s likely to happen.

The Righteous (Vincent, Dutch, and Bateman) reigned as ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions from 2021 to 2022, dropping the titles to Dalton Castle and The Boys at Death Before Dishonor 2022. Vincent and Dutch later unsuccessfully challenged for the ROH World Tag Team Championship at AEW WrestleDream 2023. Their final match for the brand aired in April 2025 on HonorClub.

PWInsider confirmed their departure the following month by reporting that the pair had been removed from the AEW/ROH roster page.

Bray Wyatt wanted The Righteous in WWE

According to Karrion Kross, Bray Wyatt had pitched for Kross and The Righteous to be an extension of the Wyatt Sicks storyline prior to his demise.

“Bray wanted to start with the Sicks, but he wanted to expand,” Kross said. “One of his ideas was to have me, Vinny and Dutch (The Righteous) as the extension of the Wyatt faction. He had a totally different name for it and everything. We were gonna be a on a totally different show, like RAW.

Kross’ comments were confirmed by Vincent himself. Fans can check out the complete article here.
