Triple H put things in terms sports fans can understand: WWE always delivers on game day.
The WWE Chief Content Officer appeared on ESPN’s The Get Up on Friday morning to hype this weekend’s WrestlePalooza event.
“The one great thing about WWE is we control the narrative. So you’re always going to get a great game, unlike — I’ll say for you with the [New York] Jets, most times, you’re disappointed. Most times it’s disappointment. We’re going to control this narrative, we’re going to give you a great game,” Triple H said. “You’re always going to come out a winner in our world.”
During the conversation, Triple H praised ESPN’s ability to make events bigger. He also teased some surprises in store on Saturday night.
“Nobody does big events like WWE, with possibly the exception of ESPN. What you guys do, the hype you put around it, shows like this, coming up here and having me on or being here with you,” Triple H explained. “ESPN builds those events to be bigger than anything, and we deliver on them. So, expect spectacle, expect surprises, expect to have a lot of fun, and ESPN is going to deliver.”
Triple H also confirmed Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena will kick off WWE WrestlePalooza, which was part of a late announcement made by Pat McAfee on Thursday.
