AJ Lee returned to in-ring competition for the first time in over a decade Saturday night at WWE Wrestlepalooza.
Lee would pick up a submission victory over Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch as part of the mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza Saturday evening.
AJ Lee took to Instagram this afternoon to reflect on her return to the ring and what the match at Wrestlepalooza meant to her, posting the following message:
“A chaotic fairytale so far. I’m proud of myself for being scared but doing it anyway, after ten years of retirement, on one month’s notice. I guess I still got it. I’m so grateful to Rebecca, Colby, Jess, TJ, and my hot husband Phil for taking such good care of me. And Larry for sharing his dressing room. I’m feeling all the love and support from you guys, my wonderful weirdos, it means the world,” AJ Lee said in a post.
As of this writing, Lee hasn’t been advertised for tonight’s episode of WWE RAW.
