Masha Slamovich’s advertised title match on Friday might be in jeopardy.
Slamovich was accused of several instances of domestic violence on Tuesday. The claims were published online by a friend of her former partner and fellow pro wrestler, AKIRA. As a result, TNA Wrestling said it had opened an internal investigation into those claims. Since then, Slamovich has lost multiple bookings, which include two upcoming matches on the independent scene in October and November.
Now, it appears that TNA has pulled Masha Slamovich from her previously scheduled title match this weekend.
Slamovich was originally scheduled to challenge Ash By Elegance for the Knockouts Championship at Friday’s Victory Road event in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The match was first confirmed ahead of the September 4 episode of TNA Impact. However, TNA has now removed an article promoting the match. The original URL address now redirects to a 404 “page not found” message.
Despite that article, Slamovich is still featured on the official event page as an advertised talent. She is also still listed on the TNA roster page and on graphics promoting the event, which were made before the allegations went public. TNA has not commented on the matter aside from confirming an investigation was underway.
If Slamovich is removed from the event, it’s unclear how TNA will address the situation. TNA taped content leading up to Victory Road earlier this month in Minneapolis. However, Slamovich was not featured in any segments in front of the crowd on the episode that will air on Thursday.
