TNA Wrestling made its presence felt in a big way last night, all throughout the September 23 episode of WWE NXT.
Last night’s episode of WWE NXT featured TNA teases throughout the show. This led to a giant invasion in the closing minutes of the show. Both TNA and NXT went to war with each other as last night’s show went off the air. So what happens next?
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), this is the beginning of a long-term program between the two sides.
It’s worth noting that TNA doesn’t have any tapings scheduled in October following Bound For Glory. But they do have dates set for Orlando in November at a yet-to-be-named venue. Sapp was told by a source they would “not be surprised to see something unconventional or different” regarding the iMPACT tapings following Bound For Glory.
While there’s obviously speculation that TNA could tape episodes of iMPACT at the WWE Performance Center, that has yet to be confirmed.
One top TNA act not present last night was the Hardy Boys. However, Sapp has been told they have been pitched to appear in this current angle at some point.
