Carlos Silva On TNA TV Deal: We’re On The 30-Yard Line, Getting Ready To Score

TNA President Carlos Silva says the company is that much closer to securing a new TV deal.

Silva spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard to promote TNA Bound For Glory and the Showdown crossover event with NXT. During the conversation, Silva was asked for an update on TNA’s negotiations for a television deal.

Silva previously told The Takedown on SI’s Jon Alba that TNA was actively seeking a new rights partner. He also hoped to have everything lined up in the fall of 2025 near Bound For Glory.

“I think Bound For Glory is a great stake in the sand in terms of us getting everything together as we look to the 2026 year and season,” Silva told SI.

While speaking with WrestleZone, Silva was asked to use a sports analogy to describe how close TNA is to a deal. His answer was pretty promising, as he elected to use American football terms for his explanation. Silva said over the summer, TNA was “in the parking lot” with a potential partner, but now the company is engaged with one that they hope to close a deal with soon.

TNA is currently engaged with a TV partner

“I would say that the game has definitely started,” Silva began. “When I was talking about it before, we were maybe in the parking lot, trying to figure out how to get into the stadium. The good news is we’re in the stadium. The game has started, and we are probably on the 30-yard line, getting ready to score. And so, I feel really good about it.

“We’re now engaged with a partner that we’re very excited about. But when you do those things, you’ve still got to work through lawyers and some company issues. But we’re in the middle of that right now. I’m very hopeful that it’ll all come together quickly now that we’re in the process. We’re in the game. And so, yeah, hopefully we’ll get back to everyone pretty soon with that. We were working on it yesterday, just to give you an idea.”

Santino Marella believes a new TV deal would put TNA Wrestling in position to be the number two wrestling company. Marella told Lucha Libre Online that he knows Tony Khan has money, but believes “number two is attainable” and a TV deal will help with that.
