TNA President Carlos Silva Clarifies Joe Hendry’s Contract Status

TNA President Carlos Silva has responded to online rumors surrounding Joe Hendry‘s contract status.

Hendry remains an integral part of the ongoing crossover featuring TNA and WWE NXT talent. He most recently appeared on the September 30 episode of NXT in a backstage segment alongside TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace, and Mike Santana.

During the segment, Santana questioned Joe and Jordynne’s allegiance to TNA Wrestling ahead of their Showdown against NXT superstars on October 7. However, neither Hendry nor Jordynne were selected to represent Team TNA or Team NXT by their respective captains.

Fans also pointed to Bobby Roode’s interaction with Joe Hendry at NXT Homecoming, where Roode specifically noted that Hendry was “in NXT,” sparking speculation that Hendry was done with TNA.

During a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva addressed the speculation regarding Hendry. Silva admitted he was surprised by Bobby Roode’s remark but confirmed that Joe Hendry remains a TNA superstar.

“Yes, he is,” Silva said. “You know, he is until he’s not. But he is. Joe’s been great for us. Joe’s been great with WWE and NXT. We’ll continue to sort of work through that as good partners do.”

A previous report suggested that Joe Hendry was being phased out of TNA Wrestling to allow him to appear on WWE TV more frequently. Fans will have to wait and see if Hendry shows up next Tuesday at Showdown.
