Former wrestler and coach Sarah Stock says she won’t turn her back on someone just because public opinion is telling her to.
Stock made headlines this week after she criticized AEW for allowing a spot at its WrestleDream that saw Jon Moxley attempt to “drown” Darby Allin in a glass aquarium. Stock replied to a post by AEW that asked who would stop Moxley and the Death Riders by saying parents can stop it by turning off the show. She criticized the spot and said it was worse than one that saw Mox put a plastic bag over a wrestler’s head. She also said it would lead to a child dying because they tried to copy it.
Many people ripped Stock for her remarks, including AEW’s Amanda Huber. Stock has continued to reply to fans on Twitter/X in the days since. This included another polarizing remark due to her quoting Vince McMahon.
“You all got worked. Your behavior is predictable. Each insulting, uneducated, ignorant reply spread the message that Attempted Murder in Wrestling is Dumb,” Stock wrote. “& you all thought ‘psychology’ was about putting moves together. ? ‘# 1 rule of communication: know your audience.’ -VKM”
One fan called her out for quoting a “rapist,” alluding to Janel Grant’s ongoing sexual assault lawsuit against Vince McMahon. However, Stock went on to say that the allegations against McMahon had nothing to do with her, adding that he was “cool af to me.”
“Ex of whom? Vince never raped ME. He was cool af to me,” Stock replied on Twitter/X.
Stock went on to defend her remarks, stating that she was raised to treat people the way they treat her. “Very sad that your treatment of people depends on public opinion,” she added. Stock also said that she’s not having a “meltdown” online, but she’s keeping her integrity.
