Omos spoke about his experience working with former WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Omos reflected on his return to in-ring action at WWE NXT live events, where he recently faced off with NXT’s giant’s Oba Femi. He said he immediately noticed strong chemistry between them from the moment they met backstage.
“From the first locker room we had (together) I could tell the chemistry was there and we have something amazing. That’s the thing about being in this business is when you get with another individual you want to feel that chemistry that you guys can make magic, and I felt that in that moment.”
Omos said that while he wanted to remind everyone of his veteran status after eight years in the business. “Like I said, again, man, I just had to show them, you know, who the big boss is and who the veteran is, you know, I’ve been in this game eight years, so it’s still a lot of work to do.
However, he also praised Oba Femi’s talent, power, and charisma. “He’s done a great job in NXT, he’s extremely charismatic. He’s great on the mic, great body of work, great physicality and guys like Oba are humbling to face. It gives me a lot of excitement when I meet guys who have such physical powers like he does.” [H/T: Fightful]
Earlier this month, Omos returned to NXT live events, competing against Lexis King and Myles Borne, scoring victories in both matches. However, his showdown with Oba Femi ended in a no contest after the two powerhouses got into a brawl.
