MLB Legend Wade Boggs Confirms How Curt Hennig Saved His Life

Major League Baseball legend Wade Boggs has confirmed how Curt Hennig once saved his life.

Former MLB third baseman Wade Boggs was a long-time friend of the late WWE Hall of Famer Curt Hennig, AKA Mr. Perfect. He recently confirmed a story about how Hennig saved his life while they were deer hunting.

A Twitter/X user tagged Wade Boggs in a post asking the MLB legend to confirm the story’s authenticity. It stated that Boggs and Curt Hennig went deer hunting in Iowa back in the day. When the MLB legend got tangled in some barbed wire.

It was further mentioned that Wade Boggs was split open from his knee to ankle and was losing a lot of blood, and that Curt Hennig got him out, picked him up, and carried him on his shoulder for about three miles to the pickup truck and got him to the hospital. The story also claimed that Boggs had called Hennig his guardian angel after he saved his life.

Responding to the tweet, Wade Boggs confirmed the story was true by simply posting a thumbs-up and folded hands emojis.

Wade Boggs Inducted Curt Hennig Into The WWE Hall Of Fame

Curt Hennig passed away on February 10, 2003. He was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2007 class, which also featured the inductions of Dusty Rhodes, Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross, and The Wild Samoans, among others.

Being Curt Hennig’s long-time friend, Wade Boggs had the honor of inducting him into the WWE Hall of Fame. He delivered an emotional tribute to his friend before Hennig’s family, which included his wife, his mother, his father, Larry “The Axe” Hennig, and his four sons, including Curtis Axel, who accepted the induction on his behalf.
