‘Mr. Perfect’ Curt Hennig’s 5 Greatest Matches

Mr. Perfect was far ahead of his time from an in-ring standpoint. Even if you argue that his overall character work was better in the 1980s, his in-ring performances had just improved by the day and it was clearly seen in the quality of matches that he had put on.  As the New Generation had come to pass, he would find himself facing more opponents similar to his level, and it reflected in the quality of matches that he had.

But without a doubt, Perfect was not only ahead of his time, but extremely underrated as well. He also may be one of the greatest superstars to never become World Champion. It’s a real shame that it had to be that way, because Perfect possessed all the tools to be a strong, heel world champion.

His run in WCW would be met with some success as well. Although he didn’t end his WWE career in 2002 on the best terms, there’s no denying the contributions that he had on the business. A lot of the high-flyers that we see today have undoubtedly been influenced by Curt Hennig.

Let’s take a look at his greatest matches.
