Before his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match against CM Punk and with a potential heel run on the horizon, Jey Uso addressed his current relationship with his cousin, Roman Reigns.
Speaking to Sam Roberts and Megan Morant on this week’s Raw Recap, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso talked about how Roman Reigns currently views him as his equal. He claimed that they have a “love-hate relationship,” but that Reigns was still his Tribal Chief.
“He see me now, you know what I’m saying, Uce, we equals now,” Jey Uso said. “You know, he did teach me the game, man. I was a student to him, I sat under the learning tree all of COVID. I was there. Like front row, man. I had my ticket, just learning the game, man, learning from Big Uce, learning from The Wiseman.
“Me and Roman got a love-hate relationship, like y’all can tell, man, but respect between us is there now. So, he’s still big uce, he’s still my Tribal Chief, man. There’ll never be another Tribal Chief to Jey Uso but Roman Reigns.”
Jey Uso Said He Is Tired Of People Saying He’s Just An Entrance
Jey Uso also addressed the online hate he’s been receiving over his success in WWE, stating that he is tired of hearing people say he’s just an entrance, and that it has led him to switch modes to his old Bloodline days.
“I’m tired of people saying I’m ‘just an entrance’ or whatever. [They say] I don’t have skills to hold it down up top,” Jey Uso added. “So, I just switch modes, Uce. I might be going back to the old ways of thinking, Bloodline ways, but that mentality got the job done.”
Jey Uso will go one-on-one with CM Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship.
