Jade Cargill Captures WWE Women’s Title At Saturday Night’s Main Event

Tiffany Stratton’s time has officially run out, as Jade Cargill captured gold tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

In a stunning win tonight, Cargill was able to take down the woman she’d been trying to after for some time now. The win was a back-and-forth affair, even though Stratton was hampered by an injured knee at the hand of Cargill. Before the match, Stratton was asked if she wanted to proceed with the match, and said yes.

It would prove to be her undoing, though, as Cargill continued to target the injury. Toward the end of the match, Cargill unleashed on Stratton, hitting her with multiple powerbombs and then hitting a major Jaded on her for the win. After the match, Cargill was quick to snatch the WWE Women’s Championship and pose with it.

For Stratton, this ends her title reign at 302 days. She had 10 different title defenses over her reign that started in January. For Cargill, this is her first solo championship with WWE. She was previously a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Bianca Belair. Now, Cargill will look to start her own reign as champion.
