John Cena promises to retire from professional wrestling forever next month at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, a current WWE Superstar isn’t buying it.
WWE Superstar Rusev was a recent guest on SHAK Wrestling. When asked about John Cena’s impending retirement next month at Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Bulgarian Brute didn’t mince words when he said he doesn’t believe this will be Cena’s last match.
“I’ve traveled the world with John Cena,” Rusev said. “I fought him all over the world. The man never took a day off. He never took a match off. He was out there performing 30 minutes a night. I don’t believe it. I’m not holding my breath. I love John, and this may be his last match of this century or whatnot. But at some point, like I want to see him back, whenever that is.”
Who will be John Cena’s final opponent?
The Last Time Is Now Tournament to determine John Cena’s final opponent will kick off next week on WWE RAW. Two matches of the 16-man tournament have already been announced, as Rusev will take on Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura will take on Sheamus.
Despite not yet being named for the tournament, all signs still point to “The Ring General” Gunther being Cena’s final opponent next month.
