Natalya Highlights Why John Cena Retirement Tour Is Making Her Sad

Natalya doesn’t want December 13 to mark the end of John Cena’s in-ring career.

The Cenation Leader is scheduled to hang up his signature sneakers in less than three weeks at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena’s final opponent will be determined in the finals of The Last Time Is Now Tournament.

Gunther and Solo Sikoa advanced to the semi-finals with their respective wins over Carmelo Hayes and Penta on the November 24 episode of WWE RAW. The SmackDown side of the tournament will air this Friday.

On Saturday, fans will see Cena make his final WWE Premium Live Event appearance when he defends his Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio. Mysterio mocked his opponent by attacking a little person dressed as Cena on RAW last night.

Natalya comments on John Cena’s retirement tour

During a recent appearance on Busted Open, former SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya shared her thoughts on John Cena’s retirement tour. Nattie admitted she doesn’t want Cena to bid farewell to the squared circle.

“I feel sad that we’re coming down to the end because he’s still doing such great work,” Natalya said. “I don’t want it to be the end. I think that John is just everything that is great about what we love about pro wrestling. He’s loyal. Is he perfect? No. He’s human. He’s okay to say that. He inspires kids that are on their last legs.

“The work that he’s done alone with Make-A-Wish, the way that he’s changed little kids’ lives who are fighting for their life, he’s just a good person. He gives back. I’m seeing the stuff that he’s been doing at the Performance Center. He’s not just gone a day. He’s gone several days in a row to talk to people and to really let me pass on everything that I know about how to make it.” [H/T WrestlingInc]
