Kevin Nash questions the booking of this top WWE Superstar.
On the latest episode of Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer spoke on the company’s recent lack of using Randy Orton and questioned why the company hasn’t positioned him to become their first 18-time World Champion.
“I don’t know why they haven’t used Randy,” Kevin Nash admitted. “I think when you look at Randy’s body of work as the youngest champion, and how long he’s been there… he’s got 14 World Championships. It would take nothing for him to f*cking become an 18-time champion… and surpass the 17.”
Nash would go on to say he feels Orton’s lack of desire to play politics backstage and not being a “mark” probably lends to him not getting the push Nash believes he deserves.
“Randy’s never been a mark,” Nash said. “That’s probably Randy’s biggest f*cking drawback. Randy is not a f*cking mark. Randy just wants to get paid, hang out with his wife and kids, and if you don’t have a f*cking spot for me, and you’re still gonna pay me, and I can sit at home… I’m cool. He grew up in that… watching his Dad work with Andre.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
Why Randy Orton was unable to attend John Cena’s last match
Plenty of John Cena’s biggest rivals were in attendance over the weekend at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event to witness the final match of the “Never Seen 17.” Unfortunately, Randy Orton was not among them. But it was out of his control.
Orton was booked by WWE to be in Saudi Arabia last week to promote the upcoming Royal Rumble premium live event. This prevented The Viper from being in DC to attend Cena’s last match. Orton hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since the October 3 episode of SmackDown, when he and Cody Rhodes lost a tag team match against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
