A scary incident earlier this week on WWE RAW reportedly has one of the company’s stars in concussion protocol.
In the closing moments of the Women’s World Championship match between Stephanie Vaquer and Raquel Rodriguez, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella made her presence felt and attacked both women, resulting in the match ending in a no-contest.
Bella’s attack on Rodriguez was especially vicious as Nikki tossed Raquel face-first into the ringside steps. You can watch Bella’s attack on both women in the embedded video below:
Following RAW, Rodriguez cut a passionate and fiery promo on social media, showing off the massive goose egg on her head, and making it clear she’s looking for revenge on Bella.
Despite the promo, it sounds like Rodriguez could be missing some time going forward.
WWE has reportedly placed Raquel Rodriguez in concussion protocol
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE has placed Raquel Rodriguez in concussion protocol after the scary incident on Monday evening.
“Raquel hit those steps hard, and she had this giant freakin’ goose egg on her head,” Bryan Alvarez said. “Yeah, concussion protocol, which does not mean, by the way, that she has a concussion. Any time you get any sort of head injury, and you get the goose egg, they put you in concussion protocol just to make sure you’re okay.” [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
