WWE NXT could hit the road for more TV episodes in the new year.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is considering increasing the road schedule for NXT TV in 2026. The main intention behind the decision is to give the NXT talent more reps on the road.
WWE primarily films NXT television at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, but visits other venues for house shows. The CW Network, the broadcast home of NXT, is also said to be fully on board with the idea, as they believe being on the road more often would benefit the show.
However, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that despite the increased travel schedule, WWE is not planning to completely abandon the Performance Center for NXT shows.
WWE NXT Is Gearing Up For New Year’s Evil
WWE NXT will kick off 2026 with New Year’s Evil, and the company has already announced some major matches for the show.
NXT Champion Oba Femi will defend his championship against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. The Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner Je’Von Evans didn’t want to wait until New Year’s Evil and demanded an early title shot on the December 9 episode of NXT, but ended up losing. Hence, Slater got the opportunity by winning a fatal-four-way match the following week.
Jacey Jayne will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner Kendal Grey.
After a controversial title win, new WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion Thea Hail will defend her title against former champion Blake Monroe.
Following a loss at NXT Deadline, Tatum Paxley will have the chance to get some retribution against her former Culling partner for her betrayal when she battles Izzi Dame in a singles match.
